Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish actor and model. Born on November 11, 1966. After making her debut in a feature film with a small part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to portray the an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan was in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was asked by a photographer to model who asked her to model. Then she began her career as a commercial model. Doody tried to stay clear of the glamour of nude roles which was a principle she applied in her acting. She accepted a small role as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill when her name was picked by the director who cast her. Doody's name was featured in John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising actors in 1986. 38. Doody She was just 18 when she played the part of Doody in A prayer for the dying (1987) with Mickey Rourke. She is the tiniest Bond girl to be seen. Another film from her early days had her in a minor role as IRA member Siobhan Donovan on A Prayer for the Dying (1987) in which she was a film starring Mickey Rourke. Doody played an unseen role in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias during his dream, 1987's adaptation to The Secret Garden. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her greatest role in the film Taffin as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was in part inspired by the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Doody later moved to Hollywood. It was her choice to succeed Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokesperson and then went on to star opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his girlfriend and agent in Major League II. After nearly a decade from the screen Doody came back to acting, and acted in a tiny role in 2003's British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine playing herself in an event scene for the award ceremony. Her roles include a TV movie version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004, a booklet about the Holocaust as well as the short film Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody was in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Then, she appeared on RTE's medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to appear in a remake in 2011 of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. She began her first two seasons on Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. The show also featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014).
